"ONE-DIET-FITS-ALL 3 "- The Myth
Shut Soul’s last blog “One-Diet-Fits-All 2”-
The Myth had content related to Blood Type O and their respective physiological
traits like digestive capacities, muscular strength and stress handling. This
blog will throw some light on Blood Type
B and its respective functioning in response to diet, stress and exercise.
Also it will highlight lifestyle strategies to maintain overall health.
BLOOD
GROUP “B”
People with blood type B carry antigen B on
their red blood cells. But they possess antibody
A which undoubtedly makes it receive blood only from blood type O or B donors.
Blood Type B descended from Savannahs of Eastern
Africa to cold areas of the Himalayan highlands and now a part of present day
India and Pakistan. As the Mongolians swept through Asia, the gene for Type B
blood was firmly established. The Mongolians swept northward, following a
culture dependent upon herding and domesticating animals - as their diet constituted
meat and cultured dairy products.
Type
B is Different!
Blood type B has evolved
from hot lands to colder regions that rendered it the flexibility to thrive in altering climates. This genetic
potential serves the interests of type B to balance twin forces of animal and
plant kingdom but they are highly sensitive to effects of slipping out of this
fluidity.
Type B’s are highly
sensitive to lectins in select food which can result in inflammation and
elevates the susceptibility to slow growth, infection of lingering viruses and vulnerability
to auto-immune diseases. Such people tend to have greater ability to adapt to
altitudes and interestingly are tallest of the blood types.
Starchy foods such as wheat,
corn, lentils, peanuts and sesame seeds greatly contribute in weight gain. These
affect the efficiency of metabolic process resulting in fatigue, water
retention and hypoglycemia. Chicken meat being rich in agglutinating lectins
may attack blood streams and lead to strokes and immune disorders. Chicken can
be replaced with highly beneficial foods such as goat, lamb and mutton. Foods that
support loss of weight include green vegetables, eggs and low fat dairy
products.
Stress
Handling
Somewhat akin to Type A, Type B produce higher levels of cortisol.
Disrupted sleep patterns, daytime brain fog, imbalance of healthy gastrointestinal
microbes and suppressed immune system are a few reactions which manifest in
response to stress. Ultimately all of these become the root cause of depression,
insulin resistance, and hypothyroidism.
Dr. D’Adamo observed that Type B’s possess a wonderful
gift to be able to receive metal relief and balanced emotions through the
practice of visualization and meditation.
Exercise-The Essential
Component
Physical
work out challenging for mind and body simultaneously is required to maintain
the much needed balance. Excellent forms of exercise can be tennis, hiking,
cycling, golfing and martial arts.
